Around 6:50am on Thursday, September 11th first responders were dispatched to a reported collision at the junction of Middle Road and Camp Hill in Southampton.
It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Middle Road when a truck exited Camp Hill and the vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist, a 31 year old Warwick man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
The Bermuda Police Service is investigating the circumstances surrounding a 16 year old male who was apparently in an altercation in the Ord Road Paget area on Monday afternoon, resulting in the 16 year old male being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he is now in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
A 31 year old Pembroke woman is currently in police custody assisting with enquiries.
Around 6pm on Monday, September 8th police officers on mobile patrol received a report of an assault.
Details regarding this incident are unclear at this time; however it appears that a 16 year old Warwick male was injured after apparently being involved in an altercation with a lone assailant brandishing a blunt object in the Ord Road Paget/Warwick area.
Around 9:30pm on Sunday, September 7th first responders were dispatched to a reported attempted robbery along the Railway Trail in the Spring Hill, Warwick area.
It appears that a 47 year old Warwick man was walking along the Railway Trail when he was accosted by a lone assailant brandishing a bladed article.
The Warwick man was injured and subsequently taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was treated and discharged.
Motorists are advised that currently portable offices are being moved from outside King Edward VII Memorial Hospital to Morgan’s Point primarily along South Road, apparently by tractor trailer. As a result, significant traffic delays have been reported along that section of South Road.
Therefore it is recommended that road users traveling to the western parishes from the central area use Middle Road instead. In addition, the motoring public is encouraged to exercise extra caution if they encounter the portable offices in transit.
Around 7:15am on Thursday, September 4th first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Lighthouse Road.
It appears that a car collided with a female pedestrian, who was apparently using a marked pedestrian crossing at the time.
At last check the 70 year old Sandys parish man injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van around 4:30pm Tuesday, September 2nd on Middle Road in Southampton near Jews Bay remains in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
However, it is anticipated that he will be transferred to a general ward later today to continue recovering from his injuries.
Around 4:30pm on Tuesday, September 2nd first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton near Jews Bay.
It appears that a van and a motorcycle collided, injuring the motorcyclist. The victim, a 70 year old Sandys parish man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was in the Intensive Care Unit in stable condition.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 75 year old Arthur Ray. Mr. Ray was found in an unresponsive state aboard his boat moored in Devonshire Bay by a member of the public around 4:30pm Monday, September 1st and later pronounced dead at the scene by an on call doctor.
The circumstances regarding Mr. Ray’s death are not considered to be suspicious. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Ray.
The repatriation of LeVeck Roberts was a result of extensive collaboration between the U.S. Department of Justice and the Bermuda Director of Public Prosecutions.
The 21 year old Bermudian LeVeck Roberts, with dual U.S. nationality, was extradited on Sunday 31st August, 2014 from the United States to Bermuda to face murder charges.
