Pedestrian Injured in Southampton Collision

Around 7:15am on Thursday, September 4th first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Lighthouse Road.
It appears that a car collided with a female pedestrian, who was apparently using a marked pedestrian crossing at the time.
The victim, believed to be a 79 year old Southampton woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
At last check she was recovering in stable condition on a general ward.
