First responders attended a report of an incident that took place at around 4:30pm in Devonshire Bay. A member of the public noticed a man’s motionless body onboard a vessel and notified emergency services.
The 75-year-old Devonshire man was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified, and foul play is not suspected.
Around 4am on Sunday, August 31st first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Studio Lane.
It appears that a male motorcyclist was riding along North Shore Road and collided with a wall. The 30 year old Hamilton parish man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was in stable condition.
Motorists are advised that until further notice a section of Harbour Road in Paget has been cordoned off, with traffic diversions in effect at Chapel Road, Stowe Hill and the north round-a-bout off Crow Lane due to a two car collision near the junction with Lovers Lane that occurred around 3:50pm. The drivers of the two vehicles involved were injured; however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Update: Traffic flow along Harbour Road has since returned to normal. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
We are aware that there has been wide reporting today of an incident that took place around 11pm on Wednesday, August 27th in the parking lot at the Swizzle Inn in Hamilton parish. The BPS can confirm that Senator Jeffrey Baron was involved in an altercation that resulted in the arrest of a 46 year old St. George’s man on suspicion of having care and control of a motor car while impaired.
Around 12:10am on Wednesday, August 27th first responders were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive female at an Atlantic View, Southampton residence.
On arrival EMTs performed CPR on the 48 year old Southampton woman at the scene and rushed her to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, where she was later pronounced dead by an on call doctor.
Around 2:20am on Monday, August 25th police officers were dispatched to a reported single vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton in the vicinity of Jews Bay.
It appears that a car was being driven along Middle Road when a collision occurred with a utility pole. The vehicle received extensive front end damage and was subsequently towed from the scene.
Around 12:40am on Friday, August 22nd first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Coney Island Road. It appears that two motorcycles were being ridden along North Shore Road and a car was being driven along the same road when the vehicles collided.
On Saturday afternoon at around 2:45pm police and first responders attended a report of an incident that took place in the Par-La-Ville park rest rooms. Upon police arrival, they came upon a 49 year old man’s body face down on the bathroom floor in a non-responsive state. As a result the man was conveyed to KEMH and he was certified dead at 4:30pm by a doctor on Saturday afternoon. Foul play is not suspected and inquiries into this death is ongoing.
The Eastern Community Action Team will be hosting a Police Community Clinic on Wednesday August 20th from 10am - 12pm and again from 4pm - 6pm at the Shelly Bay Market Place, Hamilton Parish.
Around 5:27pm on Monday August 11th, Police received a report of a stabbing at a Crossland Lane, Pembroke residence. Police attended the residence a short time later and found the victim, a 62 year old Pembroke man, lying outside on the steps to apartment in an unresponsive state.
