Three Vehicle Collision in Pembroke

Around 8:15am on Tuesday, October 21st first responders were dispatched to a reported three vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Pembroke near the junction with Blackwatch Pass involving a motorcycle, a car and a van.
The motorcyclist, a 29 year old Pembroke woman and her pillion passenger, a 7 year old girl, were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Motorists are advised to avoid the North Shore Road, Dock Hill Devonshire area until further notice as BELCO personnel work to repair downed electrical wires. An update will be provided as soon as normal traffic flow can resume along that section of road.
Update: Normal traffic flow has since resumed in the Dock Hill, Devonshire area. The motoring public is thanked for their patience and cooperation while downed electrical wires at that location were rectified.
Car Collides With Regiment Soldier in Hamilton Parish

Around 11:15am on Monday, October 20th first responders attended a reported collision on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Quarry Road.
It appears that a male Bermuda Regiment soldier was directing motorists in the area, as traffic flow had been reduced to one lane while the other lane was being cleared of debris, when a car collided with him.

The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of 49 year old Winston Jones of Devonshire.
Witnesses are still being sought regarding the fatal two motorcycle collision that occurred around 12:30pm Saturday October 18th at the junction of Court Street and Reid Street in the City of Hamilton, claiming the life of motorcyclist Mr. Jones.
Death of Retired Reserve Police Commandant Eugene Vickers MBE CPM

The Commissioner of Police Mr. Michael DeSilva expressed sadness today upon learning of the passing of Mr. Eugene Vickers, retired Commandant of the Bermuda Reserve Police (BRP). Mr. Vickers died on Saturday afternoon in hospital overseas. His career began with the Reserve Constabulary, as it was known then, in 1964. He helped to lead the organisation through a series of modernisation changes in the late 1990s including a change in name, a change in uniform to match their full-time colleagues and a change in training to facilitate wider deployment of Reserve Officers across a fuller spectrum of general police duties.
Eleventh Road Fatality for 2014: Winston Jones

Police can now confirm the death of 49 year old Winston Jones who died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with another motorcycle on Court Street in the City of Hamilton near the junction with Reid Street around 12:30pm on Saturday October 18th.
His passing marks the 11th road fatality for 2014. A family liaison officer has been assigned to assist Mr. Jones' family at this difficult time.

Around 12:30pm on Saturday, October 18th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision involving two motorcycles.
Details are unclear at this time; however it appears that two motorcycles collided on Court Street in the City of Hamilton near the junction with Reid Street. As a result three people were injured and taken to the hospital via ambulance.
Reported Serious Motorcycle Collision in Devonshire

Around 12:10am on Thursday, October 16th first responders attended a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Tee Street.
The injured motorcyclist, a 51 year old Hamilton parish man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was in stable condition at the Intensive Care Unit.
Traffic Advisory: Delays Traveling from the West End

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the motoring public to expect traffic congestion at the junction of Middle Road and South Road in Paget, as the Paget traffic lights are still out of order resulting in significant delays, particularly for those traveling from the west end.
However, police officers are on hand at that location to ensure traffic flows as smoothly and safely as possible.
