Missing Juvenile Eron Hill Located Safe & Well

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Eron Hill. The teenager attended a place of safety of his own free will this afternoon and police can confirm that he is safe and well.

Firearm Recovered - Acting on intelligence, police officers attended the Club Road, Smith’s parish area around 4:15pm on Sunday, September 11th and recovered a firearm. The firearm is being forensically examined and inquiries into the matter are ongoing.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to encourage the public to assist in making Bermuda safer by providing any information they may have that could lead to the recovery of illegal firearms.

Missing Juvenile: Eron Hill - The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to appeal for the public’s assistance in locating 15 year old Eron Hill. The teenager was last seen on Saturday, September 3rd at his Sandys parish residence and is described as brown skinned of medium build with a short afro. He was also reportedly seen on Tuesday, September 6th in the City of Hamilton and is known to frequent the Spring Hill, Warwick area as well as the Deepdale, Pembroke area.

Acting on intelligence, Bermuda Police Service officers executed a search warrant at 2:30pm today (Thursday, September 8th) at a residence on Friswells Road in Devonshire. As a result, two firearms and a quantity of ammunition were seized. A quantity of controlled drug was also recovered. A man is in custody as a result of the seizure of these weapons and controlled drug.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to encourage the public to assist in making Bermuda safer by providing any information they may have that could lead to the recovery of illegal firearms or drugs.

Officers Promote Positive Interaction With Students

This afternoon, uniform police officers including officers from the Community Action Teams are visiting the Island’s two public high schools as well as the Washington Street bus terminal in the City of Hamilton to promote positive interactions between officers and students.

This example of proactive community policing is intended to create positive relationships with the students as they return to school this week that will last throughout the school year and as a result, reduce the likelihood of any incidents occurring at either high school or the main bus terminal.

Theft - Around 10am on Tuesday September 6th, Police responded to a report of a theft on Rosemont Avenue in Pembroke. On arrival it was ascertained that a 59 year old woman exited a parked car in the area when the vehicle was approached by two unknown men on a motorcycle. One of the men reached into the car and took a bag containing a quantity of cash. Both suspects then made good their escape on the motorcycle. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Police are asking for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident to contact Detective Constable Jason Robinson on 295-0011.

Investigation into Graveyard Vandalism

Around 11am on Thursday, August 25th police responded to an incident at the St. John’s Church graveyard in Pembroke. It appears that seven graves were disturbed by an unknown individual or individuals. Nothing was taken from any of the graves. Due to the sensitive nature of the situation it was not immediately reported by police. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone with any information to contact the main police number on 295-0011.

Collision on Frog Lane (Updated) - Around 7:30pm on Monday, September 5th police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Frog Lane in Devonshire. It appears that a vehicle was travelling along Frog Lane when it collided with two other cars in the area; one parked and one stationary. Five people suffered minor injuries and were transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where they were later treated and released. A 34 year old man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving at the scene. He later failed an alco-analyser test and was detained. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
