Single Vehicle Collision in Devonshire

Around 10:30am on Saturday, March 21st first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Dock Hill, where a car driver collided with a wall.

The driver, believed to be a 34 year old Hamilton parish woman, apparently received relatively minor injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment as a precaution.

Crow Lane Collision Bus Driver Arrested, Released on Police Bail

Contrary to reports in the media this afternoon, the bus driver involved in a collision that occurred along Crow Lane around 11:40am Wednesday, March 11th has not been charged with any offences at this stage and currently a court appearance is not imminent.

However, the Bermuda Police Service can confirm that the bus driver in question has been arrested and released on police bail while inquiries into the matter continue.

BPS Recognises Passing of Retired Superintendent Victor Richmond

Mr. Richmond’s career began in 1966 with the Bermuda Police Force, as it was known then, alongside other police recruits from the UK.

Appeal Continues for Reported Missing Person Christopher Smith

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to appeal for the public's assistance in locating 42 year old Christopher Smith, who was officially reported missing on the evening of Thursday, March 5th 2015.

Mr. Smith is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5'7" tall of slim build with a close haircut and is known to frequent the City of Hamilton, Warwick and St. George’s.

7 Year Old Pedal Cyclist Briefly Hospitalized After Collision With Car

Around 6pm on Sunday, March 15th first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on Berkeley Road in Pembroke near the junction with St. John’s Road, involving a car and a pedal cycle.

The injured pedal cyclist, a 7 year old Pembroke boy, was treated at the scene by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further medical assessment. He was later discharged.

Western Parishes Community Clinics Today, Saturday

Police Commend Public Assistance Following Crow Lane Bus Collision

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank all members of the public that came to the aid of the passengers onboard the bus involved in a collision along Crow Lane in Pembroke Wednesday morning - particularly those that helped extricate all of the distressed adults and children.

In addition, we would like to acknowledge the members of staff at Renaissance Re who provided water, food and shelter for emergency service personnel as well as the pre-school students and other bus passengers.

Traffic Flow Along Crow Lane Returns to Normal

Morning commuters are advised that there are no longer any traffic restrictions in place along Crow Lane and traffic can now flow freely into and out of the city.

Injury Updates & Traffic Diversions Following Crow Lane Bus Collision

Reports from the hospital indicate that after this morning’s bus collision a total of eight persons arrived at the Emergency Room for treatment including two visitors to Bermuda and a small number of children, taken for medical assessment by their parents. However, all have minor injuries. None of the eight individuals that attended required admission.

Traffic diversions in the area of this incident continue, as efforts are made to remove the bus from the scene by crane this afternoon.
