Witness Appeal: Fatal Collision - Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the collision that claimed the life of 21 year old Shayne Adderley which occurred on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Camp Hill around 1:45am Saturday, October 8th. The investigation into this matter is ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information is encouraged to contact PC Timothy Evelyn on 295-0011.

Serious Collision in Warwick

Around 12:40am on Saturday, police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Warwick near the junction with Marley Beach Lane. It appears that a car was traveling along South Road when the vehicle went off the road, rolled over and ended up in a nearby field. The driver of the car, a 23 year old St. George’s man, was initially trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel.

Missing Juvenile Located - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Daeshon Warner. The teenager was located at 1:45pm today safe and well.

Burglary Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. Over the past week there were a number of burglaries reported throughout three parishes; Sandys, Warwick and Pembroke. Overall, a quantity of electronics, jewelry and cash was taken.

Missing Juvenile: Daeshon Warner

The Bermuda Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15 year old Daeshon Warner. The teenager was last seen around 5pm Wednesday, October 12th and is described as 5’3” tall with short black hair. He has an earring in his left ear, a scar under his right eye and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and white sneakers.

Update on Recent Shootings – Two Men Charged

Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro - Two men, Pelealkhai Williams, aged 22, and Jonathan Dill, aged 28, appeared in Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 13th October 2011 charged on indictment in relation to the shooting of a man outside the Gravity Nightclub in the early hours of Saturday 8th October.

Williams and Dill were jointly charged with ‘Conspiracy to Commit Murder’ & ‘Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence Using a Firearm’. Williams was additionally charged with ‘Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (Firearm)’.

Investigations Into Recent Shootings

Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro - The Bermuda Police Service - Serious Crime Unit is continuing its investigations into a number of firearms incidents that took place over the past 10 days. The Service is working on the theory that all four incidents are connected. Two of the incidents resulted in relatively minor injuries and two of the intended victims were fortunate to escape without harm.

Assault - Around 2am on Wednesday October 12th, police responded to a report of an assault on the corner of Court Street and Elliot Street in Pembroke. On arrival, police found a 40 year old Devonshire man who had apparently been assaulted and sustained stab wounds and injuries to his body. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. A 26 year old Pembroke man was arrested in connection with this incident. An investigation into this incident is underway.

Collision in Southampton - Around 6:30pm on Sunday October 9th, police attended a reported traffic collision on Riviera Road in Southampton parish between a truck and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were travelling along Riviera Road in opposite directions when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 29 year old Southampton man was conveyed to KEMH for treatment. His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. The driver of the truck, a 24 year old Southampton man was uninjured. Both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Fifth Road Fatality For 2011 - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 21 year old Shayne Adderley who succumbed to his injuries after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a taxi on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Camp Hill around 1:45am Saturday. Mr. Adderley was pronounced dead at the hospital at 6:15pm Saturday, October 8th by an on call doctor. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Adderley. The investigation into this matter is ongoing and any witnesses to this collision are encouraged to contact PC Latoyia Brunson on 295-0011.

Serious Collision in Southampton - Around 1:45am on Saturday, police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Camp Hill involving a taxi and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along Middle Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 21 year old St. George’s man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check the victim was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The taxi driver was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged as a result.
