The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 31 year old Ayesha Lake. Ms. Lake was located around 4pm today safe and well.

Missing Person: Ayesha Lake - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 31 year old Ayesha Lake. Ms. Lake is described as approximately 5’8” tall of slim build weighing 130 pounds. She was last seen in the Parsons Road and Friswells Hill areas of Pembroke. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Ayesha Lake is encouraged to contact the main police number on 295-0011.

Friswells Hill Community Clean Up Day

On Saturday the 20th of August officers from the Community Action Team attended the first community clean up in the Friswells Hill area organized by the newly formed Neighborhood Watch Group. [Click on photo to enlarge].

Police officers from East, West and Central offices came together to work alongside Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB) staff, Minister of Community Development and local MP Michael Weeks as well as local residents in order to make a physical improvement to this community.

Single Vehicle Collision - At approximately 4:30am on Tuesday August 23rd, police responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harbour Road, Paget near the junction with Chapel Road. It appears that a motorcycle was travelling on Harbour Road when it collided with a wall. The rider, a 31 year old Sandys parish man, was injured and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. At last check, he was listed in critical condition. Motorists were diverted away from the area while Traffic Collision Investigators examined the scene. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.

Missing Juvenile Arianna Ball Found

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Arianna Ball. Officers found the teenager in the North Shore Road, Pembroke area on Sunday evening safe and well.

August 21 - Weekend Report

Robbery - Around 10pm on Friday, police received a report of a robbery at a residence in the Tribe Road #1, Devonshire area. It appears that around 9:30pm that day at least two unknown men, one brandishing what appeared to be a firearm, entered the garage area of the home and demanded money from five men socialising there. The suspects are described as two black men wearing full face helmets. They made good their escape with a quantity of cash. No one was injured. Officers with the assistance of a K9 unit made a thorough search of the vicinity for the offenders but they were not located.

Missing Juvenile: Arianna Ball - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 15 year old Arianna Ball who was last seen on Thursday August 18th in the Middle Road, Devonshire area. She is described as light skinned, approximately 5’6” tall of medium to large build, weighing approximately 190 pounds. She has long black curly hair and was last seen wearing a blue/white striped shirt, black skirt and metallic brown flat sandals.

Advisory: Credit Card Scam

The Bermuda Police Service Financial Crime Unit would like members of the local business community and public to be vigilant for a scam where overseas fraudsters attempt to acquire expensive merchandise from local commercial establishments using stolen credit card information. In particular, detectives are aware of overseas con-artists attempting to purchase large quantities of expensive champagne, high-end china and crystal.

Road Traffic Collision - Around 8:15pm on Tuesday August 16th, Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision at the junction of Middle Road and Keith Hall Road, Warwick. It appears that an auxiliary cycle and a car were travelling along Middle Road when they collided. The rider of the cycle, an 18 year old Paget man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. His injuries are not considered to be serious. The driver of the car, a 42 year old Sandys man, was not injured. Motorists were diverted away from the area while Traffic Collision Investigators examined the scene. Enquiries into this incident are underway.
