Traffic Advisory: Delays Traveling from the West End

Mon, 2014-10-13

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the motoring public to expect traffic congestion at the junction of Middle Road and South Road in Paget, as the Paget traffic lights are still out of order resulting in significant delays, particularly for those traveling from the west end.

However, police officers are on hand at that location to ensure traffic flows as smoothly and safely as possible. At this time it is recommended that motorists traveling from the west end use South Road if possible.

A section of Harbour Road from The Lane to Manse Road, Paget is still impassable and we encourage commuters to avoid that area until further notice.

In addition, all motorists should follow any instructions from police officers monitoring traffic flow and take note of any traffic diversions due to plant debris or other obstructions in the road.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend police officers arrested one person on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

Officers also arrested four people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
