Reported Serious Motorcycle Collision in Hamilton Parish - Around 2:30am on Friday, July 26th police and first responders attended a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Quarry Road.

It appears that the motorcycle was being ridden along Harrington Sound Road when it collided with a wall. The rider, a 28 year old St. George’s man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

Recruit Foundation Course #75 Passing Out Parade

At 6pm on Thursday, July 25th 2013 the Passing Out Parade for Recruit Foundation Course #75 took place at Police Headquarters in Prospect, Devonshire. [Pictured right, click photo to enlarge]. In attendance at the ceremony were several dignitaries including:

Retirement Ceremony for K9 Officer ‘Arras’

We are here today to retire K9 officer ‘Arras.’ This marks the first time in recent police history that the Bermuda Police Service has undertaken such a venture.

It is our belief that our dogs are an integral part of our policing family and thus they should be given a fitting tribute in their retirement.

Reported Serious Collision on Harbour Road - Around 11:45pm on Tuesday, July 23rd police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Salt Kettle Road.

Details regarding how the collision occurred are unclear; however initial information suggests that two motorcycles were being ridden along Harbour Road when they collided.

Recovered Property: Quantity of Jewellery

The Bermuda Police Service has received and recovered several items of suspected stolen or lost jewellery. Members of the public are invited to view images of this personal property by visiting the official Bermuda Police Service website and selecting the ‘Recovered Property’ link.

After reviewing the ‘Recovered Property’ web page, if any individual believes they are the owner of any item(s) of jewellery shown, they should follow the instructions given.

Reported Stolen Vehicle Located - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating a red Mitsubishi station wagon bearing license plate 40427 reported stolen from the parking lot near the junction of Front Street and King Street in Pembroke on the evening of Friday, July 19th. The car was subsequently located in the area it was reported stolen from and had apparently been clamped.

Reported Stolen Vehicle - Around 10pm on Friday, July 19th police received a report of a stolen vehicle. It appears that sometime between 8:30pm and 9:45pm that day a red Mitsubishi station wagon bearing license plate 40427 was removed from the parking lot near the junction of Front Street and King Street in Pembroke. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of this red Mitsubishi car is encouraged to contact the main police number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.

July 21 - Weekend Report

Collision in Paget - Around 4am on Sunday, July 21st police and first responders attended a reported collision on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Bostock Hill West.

It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Middle Road and a car was being driven along the same road when the vehicles collided.

The motorcycle rider, an 18 year old Pembroke man and his pillion passenger, an 18 year old Devonshire man, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
