Reported Missing Juvenile: Latori Anderson [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 16 year old Latori Anderson.

The teenager is described as light brown complexioned, approximately 5’3” tall weighing around 115 pounds. She was most recently seen in the Reid Street, City of Hamilton area on Thursday, September 12th wearing a dark blue T-shirt with light blue leggings.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 16 year old Latori Anderson is encouraged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 247-1678 or the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.

Search Ongoing for Howard Ascento

The search continues for 25 year old Howard Ascento, who fled Magistrates’ Court on foot Friday, September 6th after being sentenced for several traffic offences.

Officers have already searched several areas for Mr. Ascento; however he remains at large.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend, police officers arrested four people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

Officers also arrested nine people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.

So far search efforts have not located Mr. Ascento, who is not a threat to the public; however officers are continuing to actively look for him.

Jonathan Dill Murder Investigation Continues

Acting Superintendent Nicholas Pedro - Investigators are still working with witnesses and area residents to come forward and provide any information they may have in relation to the murder of Mr. Jonathan Dill. We are thankful for those that have already come forward, but it is essential that those who know something, say something.

Detectives are pursuing all available lines of enquiry.

Suspected ‘Marlboro Bandit’ Arrested

A 53 year old Hamilton parish man has been arrested in connection with the reported attempted theft and theft of cartons of cigarettes from at least two stores. Inquiries are ongoing.

Investigation Ongoing: Murder of Jonathan Dill

" border="0" />2nd September, 2013 several 911 calls were received relating to gun shots in The Glebe Road / St. Monica’s Road Pembroke area.

Officers responded to #31 The Glebe Road, where they found a 30 year old Pembroke male in an unresponsive state outside the residence, suffering from injuries believed to be from a gunshot wound.

The victim is Mr. Jonathan Dill of Pembroke Parish.

The family and friends of Mr. Dill have been assigned a Family Liaison Officer by the Bermuda Police Service to assist them during this difficult time.

Man Fatally Shot in Pembroke

Around 10:20pm on Monday, September 2nd police officers responded to reports of gunshots in the St. Monica’s Road, Glebe Road Pembroke area.

On arrival a 30 year old Pembroke man was found shot outside a residence in that area. The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he was subsequently pronounced dead by an on call doctor.

No further information regarding the deceased will be given at this time until the next of kin is notified.

Inquiries Ongoing Into Reported Gunshots in Pembroke

Around 7pm on Sunday, September 1st police officers responded to reported gunshots in the East Park Lane, Pembroke area.

However after conducting initial inquiries, there was no evidence found to substantiate the reports and no reports of any injuries.

Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.

10th Anniversary Hurricane Fabian Memorial Ride

This afternoon, the September 5th Foundation held the 10th Annual Memorial Ride. The ride commenced at 2:00pm at http://www.bermudapolice.bm/system/files/10th%20Anniversary%20Hurricane%... " border="0" />the City Hall in Hamilton and traveled to the Memorial Bench on Kindley Field Road, St. George’s for a short tribute and remembrance of the four lives lost on September 5th 2003. [Click photo to enlarge]. The ride then continued to St. George’s before finishing at the Prospect Police Recreation Club, where Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva hosted a reception.

The September 5th Foundation, a registered charity, was formed to create an endowment fund to assist in the post-secondary education of the children whose parents and grand-parents were lost during the tragic events of Hurricane Fabian in 2003.

Bermuda police officers Stephen Symons, Nicole O’Connor, Station Duty Officer Gladys Saunders and civilian Manuel Pacheco, who was employed by the Corporation of Hamilton, tragically lost their lives on the Causeway at the height of the hurricane.
