Injury RTC

At 11:45pm on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Garthowen Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Middle Road when the rider lost control, colliding with the sidewalk. As a result, the motorcycle received front end damage.

At 3:35 this morning, Police were on mobile patrol traveling east on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road when they observed a white car traveling in the opposite direction at a high rate of speed. After passing the Police vehicle it appears the driver of the car lost control, causing the vehicle to cross the road and end up overboard.

Swimmer in Difficulty

Around 10:20am on Tuesday, Police attended a report of a swimmer in difficulty at Horseshoe Bay beach on South Road in Southampton. It appears that around 10:10am the victim's wife and sister were swimming at Horseshoe Bay when they experienced some difficulty with the rip tide.

Around 8:40pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Heathcote Hill and Sound View Road in Sandy's parish involving a car and a motorcycle.

Robbery

At 4:05pm on Monday, Police received a report of a robbery on South Road in Southampton. Shortly after receiving the report officers spoke with the victim, an 80 year old male visitor to the island, who stated that around 1pm he left Henry VIII Restaurant & Bar after purchasing items there and began walking back along South Road to his Garden Path, Southampton residence.

Sudden Death

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 90 year old Albert Benjamin of Warwick. He was found deceased in his car at Albouy's Point around 7:45 this morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene by an on call physician at 9:30am. Foul play has not been ruled out. Around 9:35pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a missing person, Mr. Albert Benjamin.

Breaking & Entering

Mon, 2005-10-24

Around 8:45pm on Monday, Police received a report of breaking and entering at a North Shore Road, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7am and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his house. The culprit stole $80 in cash and a red & blue windbreaker. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
