At 8:40 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Palmetto Road in Devonshire near the junction with Aeolia Drive involving a motorcycle and a car. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling on Palmetto Road when it collided with the car, which was turning into the entrance of the Tynes Bay Incinerator complex.

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 28 year old Andrew Kemp of Southampton who died as a result of a road traffic collision this morning. It appears around 3:40 this morning, Mr. Kemp was riding his motorcycle west on South Road in Southampton near the junction with Cross Bay Road when he lost control, colliding with the nearside curb.

At 1:05 this morning, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Glebe Road in Pembroke near Victor Scott Primary School. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling south on Glebe Road when the rider lost control, colliding with the sidewalk.

Breaking & Entering

Wed, 2005-09-28

At 5:35pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Middle Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival an officer spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9am and 5:10pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her apartment. The culprit stole a PlayStation 2 game system, 35 PlayStation games and several items of jewelry.

At 12:35 this morning, Police attended a reported assault at Henry VIII Restaurant & Bar on South Road in Southampton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 24 year old man, who stated that while dancing at the establishment an argument took place between himself and the suspect. The suspect then punched the 24 year old in the face and left the scene on foot.

At 11:25pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported assault at the Southampton Rangers Club on South Road in Southampton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 38 year old Southampton man, who stated that earlier while at the club he saw a young man take a chair from inside the establishment and put it outside to sit on.
