At 5:45pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Valley Road, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9am and 5:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and DVDs. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 6:35pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Middle Road, Devonshire residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 6:50am and 6:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry and cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the motoring public that due to a tree falling near the west boundary of Par-La-Ville Park, Par-La-Ville Road between Church Street and Front Street in Pembroke will be closed at 7pm so that workmen can clear the tree from the area. The complainant stated that sometime between 9pm on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and food items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 52 year old James Norman Miller of Sharpsville, Indiana U.S.A. (a passenger on the Norwegian Crown cruise ship) who was traveling with a Scuba Diving tour group near the North Rock beacon a few minutes after 4pm yesterday. It appears that the 52 year old man ran into difficulties in the water resulting in two paramedics and a doctor in his dive group triaging until the Police boat Heron 3 could arrive on location.
