Minor Disturbance - Police are investigating a report of a minor disturbance between two males that occurred in the entrance foyer of Hamilton Magistrates Court on the morning of Thursday December 15th. No injuries were reported and the incident was quickly dealt with by G.E.T. security screening personnel. The parties separated and left the building. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing.
Collision - Around 11:30am on Wednesday, December 14th police were on mobile patrol in the Cobbs Hill Road, Warwick area when they encountered a white car traveling at speed along Ord Road. The officers activated the police vehicle’s emergency equipment; however the offending vehicle did not stop. Police pursued the white car on to Middle Road in Paget, where the driver of the fleeing vehicle collided with another car near Manse Road, before finally colliding with a wall near Tanglewood Road.
Collision - Around 7:30am on Monday December 12th, police responded to a report of a collision near the junction of Middle Road and Lighthouse Road in Southampton. It appears that a car and a motorcycle were travelling along Middle Road when they collided. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Traffic in the area was diverted as a result. The rider of the motorcycle, a 29 year old Hamilton parish man received relatively minor injuries. The driver of the car, a 55 year old Southampton woman was not injured. Inquiries are underway.
Impaired Driver - Around 3:15am on Sunday December 11th, uniformed officers were on duty along Front Street in the City of Hamilton when it appeared that a collision occurred between a rental cycle and a taxi. Afterwards, the rider of the rental cycle rode away in an erratic manner. As a result the rider, a 31 year old Devonshire man, was stopped by police and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He subsequently failed the alco-analyser test and was detained in police custody. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Around 11pm on Saturday, December 10th two unknown men on a motorcycle were traveling through the Somerset Road, Cambridge Road Sandys parish area when the pillion passenger discharged a firearm in the direction of a group of men standing outside Long Hours Variety store.
Police were on mobile patrol in the vicinity and immediately pursued the suspects who made good their escape traveling east along Somerset Road. The scene was cordoned off and forensic evidence found suggested that a firearm had been discharged; however no one has reported being injured.
On Saturday, Decmeber 10th the 2011 Christmas Boat Parade took place in Hamilton harbour with over 70 vessels taking
part, including the police boat MV Guardian. Decorated with lights, a Christmas tree, a T3 Motion vehicle and Santa waving from the Birdcage, the MV Guardian was all decked out in the festive spirit thanks to the Marine Unit.

Friday's Community Awareness Day at Southside Police Station to learn more about policing and how the community and the Bermuda Police Service can work together to decrease crime.
The Bermuda Police Service Serious Crime Unit is investigating a reported shooting incident outside the Western Stars (Dandy Town) Football Club in Pembroke. The incident occurred at about 8:45pm Thursday 8th December, 2011.
No one was injured in the incident, however it is believed a firearm was discharged from Bakery Lane into the grounds of Western Stars Club by a gunman on a motorcycle. The gunman then entered St. John’s Road and travelled west on that road.
Missing Juvenile Located - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 16 year old Leshun Wolffe. He has returned safe and well.

The Southside Police Station will hold an open house on Friday the 9th of December 2011 from 9am – 4:30pm. This event is open to all members of the public and will provide crime prevention advice as well as interactive displays. Light refreshments will be served.
