Around 2:15am on Saturday, Police (the Police Support Unit & numerous uniform and non-uniform units) attended a reported disturbance at the Ozone Nightclub on Front Street in Pembroke. On arrival officers observed patrons fleeing the establishment and damage to the club. Initially there were no complaints made; however, at 2:50am on Saturday, Police attended KEMH after a report of an assault.
Around 11:10pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported robbery at a St. George's guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the victims, who are visitors to the island. They stated that around 11pm two men entered their room and demanded money. One of the men was brandishing a machete, the other a wooden baton. The men took U.S.
At 8 this morning, Police received a report of a theft from a vessel moored at Mangrove Bay in Sandy's parish. The complainant stated that sometime between 8pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday, an unknown culprit stole marine flares from his boat. The flares are described as 3 smoke flares, 3 rocket flares and 3 parachute flares. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 51 year old Albert Peets of Smith's parish. Mr. Peets was riding west on North Shore Road in Devonshire when his motorcycle collided with a car exiting Foothills Road around 3:15pm on Tuesday. He was rushed to KEMH via ambulance in an unresponsive state and pronounced dead at 3:35pm by an on call physician at the hospital.
Around 9:50pm on Monday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Mangrove Bay Road in Sandy's parish near the junction with Mangrove Lane, involving two motorcycles. It appears that a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling east on Mangrove Bay Road and a Peugeot motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when they collided.
