Around 8:05am on Tuesday, Police received a report of a vehicle taken without its owners consent. The complainant stated that the red vehicle for disabled persons was removed from outside ‘Summer Haven on South Road in Smiths parish. The vehicle was last seen around 11:55pm on Monday; however, it has reportedly been seen since in the Broken Hill, Smiths parish area.
Police can now confirm the arrest of a 20 year old Pembroke man in the Middletown, Pembroke area yesterday. However, contrary to some media reports, the Pembroke man was not in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest.
Three men are currently in custody assisting Police with their inquiries into the Christmas & Boxing Day shootings.

The Bermuda Police Service is aware that there are many events taking place tonight across the island to celebrate the arrival of the New Year, 2008. As such, Police will be actively patrolling in various areas throughout the island overnight and into the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 1, 2008.
Around 1pm today, Police attended a reported burglary at a Belmont Hills Drive, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 4am and 11am today, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole a black handbag containing a quantity of cash, a BlackBerry cellular phone, a silver LG cellular phone and personal items.
The autopsy on Aquil Richardson was conducted by an overseas forensic pathologist this weekend and has now been completed. We can now confirm that Mr. Richardson died as a result of gun shot wounds inflicted around 9pm Wednesday, December 26th in the Camp Hill, Southampton area and the murder investigation into his death continues.
A total of 8 men have been arrested in connection with the Christmas & Boxing Day shootings in the Camp Hill, Southampton area. Five of those men have since been released, with three remaining in custody.

Around 8pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a St. Johns Road, Pembroke residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 10pm on Wednesday and 10am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home. At the time of the report it was unknown what, if anything was taken from the residence. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
