Fatal RTC

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 27 year old Ronald Christopher of Warwick. Mr. Christopher (motorcyclist) sustained serious head injuries in a three vehicle road traffic collision involving two motorcycles and a truck at the junction of South Road and Zuill’s Park Road in Smith’s parish.

Medical Emergency

At 10 this morning, Police attended a reported medical emergency at the Bermuda International Airport. It appears that a male passenger on board American Airlines flight #1019 from Boston, Massachusetts (USA) to San Juan, Puerto Rico experienced heart problems while en route. The plane was subsequently diverted to Bermuda.

Theft

At 6:10pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported theft from the St. George’s Club, on Rose Hill in St. George’s. On arrival officers spoke to the complainants who are American visitors to the island. They stated that while playing a round of golf on the St. George’s Golf Course they left a bag in their golf cart.

Injury RTC

Wed, 2005-05-11

Around 10:50pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Trimingham Hill in Paget. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling south on Trimingham Hill when the rider, a 50 year old Southampton man, lost control and collided with a telephone pole. As a result, the motorcycle sustained front end damage.

Death of Edward Smith

As a result of a post mortem that was carried out today by a pathologist, the Bermuda Police Service has ruled out foul play in the death of 53 year old Edward Smith of Parsons Road in Pembroke. However, a cause of death is still undetermined pending a toxicology report.

Sudden Death

Tue, 2005-05-10

Around 12:50 this morning, Police received a report of a body floating in the canal behind the Salvation Army Emergency Housing Complex on Marsh Lane in Pembroke. The body was found by two residents of the complex. A doctor attended and pronounced death at 1:30am.

Breaking & Entering

Mon, 2005-05-09

At 2:40pm on Monday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Warwick Lane, Warwick residence. On arrival officers arrested the suspect, a 31 year old Warwick man, who was detained by the complainant. The complainant stated that around 2pm he was at home when he heard footsteps and went to investigate, finding the suspect in his kitchen.
