At 7:30 this morning, Police attended a reported damage only road traffic collision on Harbour Road in Warwick near the junction with Chapel Road involving two cars.
It is with a great sense of regret that the Bermuda Police Service announces the death of our colleague and friend, 33 year old Police Constable Andrew Woolridge. He was found in an unresponsive state in his Hamilton parish home around 10:05pm on Sunday by a family member and subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by an on call physician.
At 7:45pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Footbridge Lane, Pembroke residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 11am on Thursday and 11am on Friday, an unknown culprit or culprits stole 5 white PVC/glass windows from her home, which is under renovation. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Prohibited Weapon Seized
At 2:05 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Parliament Street, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 1:50am she was watching TV in her living room when an unknown man entered her apartment. She screamed; the man picked up her handbag and made good his escape. The handbag contained personal items and a cellular phone.
The Bermuda Police Service is continuing their investigation into the shooting at Swinging Doors Night Club on Court Street in Pembroke that took place in the early hours of Monday, April 24, 2006. A 30 year old Pembroke man remains in Police custody, assisting Police with their inquiries.
Around 12:35 this morning, Police attended a reported vehicle fire at Bermuda Bell Diving on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish. On arrival officers observed two motorcycles engulfed in flames. The Bermuda Fire Service also attended and extinguished the fire which damaged both cycles. The cause of the fire is under investigation and inquiries into this incident are underway.
The Bermuda Police Service is continuing its investigation into the shooting at Swinging Doors Nightclub on Court Street in Pembroke that took place in the early hours of Monday, April 24, 2006. As of 11am today, there are no new developments in the investigation.
A 30 year old Pembroke man has been taken into Police custody and is assisting Police with inquiries into the shooting that took place at the Swinging Doors Nightclub on Court Street in the early hours of Monday morning.
Around 3 this morning, Police attended a report of a vehicle on fire at the Devonshire Recreation Club on Frog Lane in Devonshire. On arrival officers observed a green Daihatsu jeep engulfed in flames. The Bermuda Fire Service also attended and extinguished the fire, which caused extensive damage to the vehicle.
At 2:30 this morning Police responded to a shooting incident which occurred inside the Swinging Doors Nightclub on Court Street. At present the victims are a 26 year old female, a 21 year old male and a 30 year old male all from Pembroke. All of the individuals are being treated at KEMH and their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
