At 10:50pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Tribe Road #6. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on Middle Road when the rider, a 47 year old Hamilton parish man lost control, scraping along a wall and colliding with a utility pole.
At 8:40am on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Front Street in Pembroke near the junction with King Street , involving three cars. It appears that all three vehicles (a blue Daihatsu Charade, a white Mitsubishi hatchback and a blue Honda CRV) were in a line of motorists traveling east on Front Street; however, the white Mitsubishi and the blue Honda CRV were already stationary due to traffic. The Bermuda Police Service would like to remind the motoring public that due to the Queen’s Birthday Parade on Saturday, June 14th all vehicles must be removed from Front Street, City of Hamilton (especially in the area of the cenotaph) by 4am Saturday.

Chief Inspector Antoine Daniels, Officer in Charge of the Serious Crime Unit
Police are continuing their investigations into the sudden death of 14-year old Rhiana Moore and are pleased with the progress made thus far.
Later this week a number of forensic experts will be arriving on island to provide assistance and support to investigators.
As a result of ongoing Police investigations into illegal firearms on the island, shortly before 1pm on Friday 30th May 2008, armed Police officers arrested 2 men on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm. These investigations are being carried out by a joint team of officers headed by the Officer In Charge of the Serious Crime Unit, Chief Inspector Antoine Daniels. It is anticipated that both men, aged 28 and 27 of St. George’s and Pembroke parishes respectively will be appearing before the courts shortly.

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 14 year old Rhiana Moore of Devonshire. Her lifeless body was discovered in the area of Blue Hole Park just off Dolphin Drive. Officers were dispatched to the scene and located the body, and a short time later death was certified by a physician.
