At 8:25pm on Friday, a Police car on mobile patrol on Westside Road in Sandy ’s parish was in pursuit of a motorcycle, which was reported stolen on October 20th. It appears that the rider of the motorcycle lost control, collided with a wall and both he and his pillion passenger fell to the ground. The pursuing Police car then came upon the motorcycle and two young men lying in the road. The driver of the Police vehicle successfully avoided a collision with the cycle and the two suspects, but in doing so collided with a wall.

Burglary

Around 8:15pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Spicery Road, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8am and 7:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and two gold rings. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to remind the public that Police Week 2007, being held from Saturday October 27th to Saturday November 3rd, includes a number of community related events suitable for school children to senior citizens, and everyone in between.

Around 8:50am on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at St. Georges Preschool. The complainant stated that sometime between 3:45pm on Thursday and 8:45am on Friday, an unknown culprit gained entry into an office on the premises. The culprit stole a quantity of cash raised by the school, which was destined for charity. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
