At 3:50 this morning, Police attended a reported robbery on Par-La-Ville Road in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 31 year old Pembroke man, who stated that around 3:25am he was walking west along Serpentine Road when two unknown men on a motorcycle approached him. The suspects proceeded to assault the Pembroke man, hitting him with their helmets before removing his wallet containing a quantity of cash and a BlackBerry cellular phone. The suspects then made good their escape on the motorcycle. The suspects are described as two dark skinned males riding a motorcycle. The victim sustained abrasions to fingers on his left hand and several blows to the head; however he declined medical attention. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
At 1:30 this morning, Police attended KEMH after a reported robbery. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 27 year old Devonshire man, who stated that around 10:15pm on Thursday, he was riding his motorcycle along Happy Valley Road in Pembroke when it ran out of gas. The Devonshire man flagged down a passerby who agreed to go and get gas for him. He then decided to walk along Happy Valley Road towards the City of Hamilton, wearing his helmet, when he was approached by three unknown young men. A fourth suspect then approached the victim from behind and a scuffle ensued. During the struggle, one of the suspects used a bladed article while the victim attempted to defend himself with his helmet; however, the suspects managed to remove the Devonshire mans wallet containing a quantity of cash and two cellular phones before making good their escape. The individual who went to get gas for the victims motorcycle returned, and the victim was able to ride to the hospital. The Devonshire man sustained a laceration to the top of his head and a wound to his elbow. He is currently in KEMH receiving treatment. The suspects are described as four young men approximately 18 years old; one was dark skinned, short, wearing a red hooded top with the hood over his head; two were taller than the first, wearing black bandanas and grey hooded tops with the hoods up while the fourth was wearing a red bandana and a baseball cap.
