Three Men Arrested For Robbery After Swift Action By Police - At 12 noon on Wednesday, March 2nd 2011 Police received a report of a robbery. It appears that the victim, a 20 year old Sandys parish man, was accosted by five young men between 6pm and 7pm on Monday, February 28th 2011 in the area of Camp Hill and the Railway Trail in Southampton. The assailants took a quantity of cash and a motorcycle helmet from the Sandys parish man before fleeing the scene. The victim and the assailants apparently know each other.

condolences to the family & friends of Mr. Leshore on behalf of the investigating team. At 8:30pm on Tuesday 1st March, 2011, Police Officers responded to 911 reports of a person having been shot at #9 Boundary Crescent, Devonshire parish.
The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that a 26 year old man was fatally shot in the Boundary Crescent, Devonshire area tonight. No further information will be released until the next of kin have been notified. An active investigation into this incident is underway. Any witnesses or anyone with any information is urged to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the independent, confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
Injury RTC in Sandys Parish - Around 10:45pm on Monday, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Mangrove Bay Road and Loyalty Estate in Sandys parish involving a van and a pedal cycle. It appears that the van was traveling along Mangrove Bay Road and the pedal cycle was traveling along Loyalty Estate when they collided at the junction. The pedal cyclist, a 34 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained head/facial injuries; however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the van, a 36 year old Southampton man, was not injured. Both the van and the pedal cycle were damaged.
Impaired Driving Arrest - Around 9:30pm on Sunday, Police responded to a report of an impaired motorist traveling along Middle Road in Southampton. As a result the rider of a rental cycle, a 51 year old Warwick man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and subsequently detained after failing the alco-analyser test. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Between 7pm Friday, February 25th and 7am Monday, February 28th there were six people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving (inclusive of the above arrest).
Arrest for Outstanding Warrants - Around 10:45pm on Friday, Police were on patrol along Elliot Street in Pembroke when they encountered a 25 year old Pembroke man. Further inquiries revealed that the individual had six outstanding warrants. As a result he was arrested and detained.
Speed Checks
On Saturday Police conducted speed checks along Crow Lane in Pembroke and on Friday officers conducted speed checks along South Road in Paget.
Attempted Burglary - At 9:45am on Thursday, Police attended a reported attempted burglary at an Old Road, Hamilton parish residence. It appears that earlier that day an unknown man attempted to gain entry into the home but was disturbed by the occupant. An 18 year old St. George’s man was subsequently arrested in connection with this matter. Inquiries are ongoing.

Police Patrols Find All Quiet Overnight - Police officers conducted mobile patrols in various areas of the island overnight with no unusual activity encountered. Areas patrolled from 7pm Wednesday, February 23rd – 7am Thursday, February 24th included but were not limited to:
Damage Only RTC in Devonshire - Around 9:10pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Roberts Avenue in Devonshire near the junction with Parsons Road and found the vehicle involved unoccupied. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear at this time; however it appears that a jeep was traveling along Roberts Avenue when the driver lost control. As a result the vehicle overturned. The occupants of the vehicle, a 23 year old woman and a 27 year old man, were not injured; however the jeep was extensively damaged. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately an hour.
