Around 8:55pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Ferry Drive, St. Georges residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 7:30am and 8:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 4:10am on Monday, Police received a report of a burglary at the Washington Mall in the City of Hamilton. It appears that sometime between 3am and 4am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises and shattered the glass doors of two stores. Another store adjacent to the Washington Mall also had its glass door shattered.
Around 2pm today, Police attended a reported fire at a Schools Drive, Devonshire residence. The Bermuda Fire Service was already at the scene and had the fire under control. The home was unoccupied at the time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Around 4pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Seabright Avenue, Paget residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a Toshiba laptop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 5pm on Saturday, Police received a report of a robbery. The victims, who are American visitors to the island, stated that they were at a bus stop on South Road in Warwick near Warwick Camp waiting for the bus when they were approached by two unknown men.
Police are continuing to appeal for the public’s assistance in identifying the rightful owners of several suspected stolen items, listed below. Around 9:45pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Town Hill Road, Smiths parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7am and 9pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her apartment while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a white 19” Samsung flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 10:30pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported robbery near the junction of Middle Road and Princess Drive in Southampton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 47 year old Southampton man, who stated that he returned to the area to check on his motorcycle, which had broken down at that location earlier in the day.
