Missing Juvenile

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public's assistance in locating 14 year old Dishon Burgess of Southampton. He has been missing since Wednesday, March 14, 2007 and is described as brown skinned; approximately 6' tall, of slim to medium build with a scar in his left eyebrow and full lips. However, it is apparent that Burgess has visited his Southampton residence several times since being reported missing, while the home was unoccupied.

Burglary

At 8:40am on Saturday, Police attended a reported burglary at an East Shore Road, Sandy’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7pm on Friday and 7:30am on Saturday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his cellar and storage shed. The culprit stole a quantity of tools. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 7:15pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at an Inghams Vale, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8am and 7pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry and coins. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Witness Appeal

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for a member of the public who came to the assistance of an officer during the arrest of a 28 year old Southampton man around 1:30pm today on South Road in Paget near the junction with Cobbs Hill Road. The Southampton man was arrested for obstruction and was initially stopped by Police on mobile patrol for traffic offences. He was subsequently taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained.

Escapee Captured

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 20 year old John William O'Connor of St. George's. He was apprehended by officers with the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit around 3pm today on the grounds of the old Club Med hotel in St. George's. It is anticipated that when he appears before the courts sometime in the near future, he will face the charge of escaping lawful custody in addition to any other charge(s) he may be facing.
