Details at this point are sketchy, however a man was taken to KEMH and is being treated for non life threatening injures. PRESS RELEASE - CLUB MED IMPLOSION

On Monday 25th August 2008 the former Club Med hotel will be destroyed by implosion.
On Monday 18th August 2008, work will commence to rig the former Club Med hotel building with explosives. These explosives will be placed throughout the hotel building and sealed in place by a team from Demolition Dynamics, a subsidiary of DH Griffin Wrecking Co. Inc of the USA.
The explosives, once placed, will remain in the hotel throughout the week leading up to the planned implosion, scheduled for Monday 25th August 2008.
