Three Vehicle North Shore Road, Devonshire Collision Thursday Afternoon

Around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, 27th June 2024, police and emergency medical personnel responded to a report of a three vehicle collision which resulted in injury, involving a car and two motorcycles, on North Shore Road near the junction with Cameron Close, Devonshire.

It was reported that both motorcycles were travelling west along North Shore Road, when the driver of the car which was travelling east made a right hand turn to enter the nearby Terceira’s Service Station and crossed into the westbound lane.

A collision occurred, with one of the motorcycle riders, a 21-year-old male having suffered multiple lacerations and abrasions to both legs. The other rider, a 36-year-old male, suffered a broken left leg. Both men were transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance, for further treatment.

The driver of the car, said to be a 45-year-old male, was not reported to have been injured at the time. A 33-year-old female occupant of the vehicle complained of pain to her right arm and hand.

Traffic along North Shore Road was diverted at the junctions with Store Hill and Loyal Hill. The roadway remained closed for an extended period, while the collision scene was processed. We wish to thank the public for their cooperation and patience.
