Pedestrian Injured by Car in Warwick Collision

Around 3:15pm on Saturday 11th May 2023, police and other first responders were dispatched to a report of a serious collision on Middle Road, Warwick; near Watch Hill Lane, involving a private motorcar, and a pedestrian.

Information surrounding the accident is unclear at this time. However, it is believed that the male pedestrian may have suffered a head injury.

Police are currently processing the scene. Diversions have been put in place at Burnt House Hill and Tamarind Vale.

Anyone who may have witness this collision is asked to call police on 211.

Update: Monday, 13th MayThe investigation regarding a reported collision involving a car and a pedestrian that occurred around 3:15pm Saturday, 11th May 2024, along Middle Road Warwick near Watch Hill Lane, continues.

Apparently the injured pedestrian, said to be a 31-year-old man visiting from the UK, was treated on site by emergency medical technicians before being transported, conscious, to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further treatment.

It is understood that the UK visitor was later discharged from hospital, after receiving additional relevant medical care.

The car driver, said to be an 83-year-old Warwick man, was not hurt.

Traffic in the area was diverted for approximately three hours, while the scene was processed.

The Bermuda Police Service thanks those witnesses that have already come forward and encourages anyone else with information that can assist this investigation to contact Constable Shayna Simmons by calling 211, or sending an e-mail to ssimmons@bps.bm.


All incidents are under investigation.
