14 BPS Officers Complete Multiple-Choice Writing Course

Fourteen officers from the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) recently completed a five day, UK College of Policing Multiple-Choice Question Writing Course at the BPS Training School, which was facilitated by Ms. Louise Dennis and Mr. Hurden Law, from the College of Policing. The course was conducted between January 22nd – 26th 2024. The officers who attended the course varied from Constable to Superintendent, and work in various units within the police service, reflecting a diverse range of expertise and experiences.

The training has allowed the BPS to increase its’ capacity of officers qualified to write multiple-choice questions and conduct associated examination processes within the BPS.

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. James Howard said, “The completion of this course marks a significant milestone for the Bermuda Police Service, as it signifies an increase in the number of officers qualified to proficiently write multiple-choice questions. This enhanced capacity empowers our capability to maintain rigorous standards in assessment and evaluation.

We are immensely proud of the dedication and commitment demonstrated by our officers throughout this training endeavour. Their newfound skills and knowledge will undoubtedly contribute to the continued effectiveness and efficiency of the Bermuda Police Service.
