At around 11:05am police received a report of an incident that took place at Brown and Co. in the City of Hamilton. Upon police arrival it was ascertained that a male was seen to remove an item from the shelf and conceal it on his person. The suspect was then followed inside the store by a security guard. Once the suspect noticed he was being followed, he began to quickly exit out of the store, injuring his hand on the glass door. A 21 year old male later attended the hospital for treatment of a hand injury and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of shoplifting. Inquiries into this incident continue.
The two men who were involved in the shooting that took place last night at Gombey’s in St. David’s are both in stable condition in the hospital. At 11:40pm on Sunday night police and first responders attended a report of an incident that took place at Gombey's in St David's.
Upon police arrival it was ascertained that a male walked into Gombey's, brandished a firearm, shot a male and immediately made good his escape on a motorcycle.
The victim was conveyed via ambulance to the hospital and his condition at this time is unknown.
Shortly after 3pm this afternoon Friday 1st July, 2016, Police responded to a report of an aggravated burglary, which took place in the Barracks Close, St. George’s area.
It was reported that two males entered a home making demands. They then left the area. Multiple Police units responded and shortly thereafter Police stopped a vehicle on Mullet Bay Road. As a result, two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. Police have recovered what appears to be a firearm.
Around 12:05pm today [1-Jul] Police responded to a report of an incident which took place on Church Street in the City of Hamilton, just outside of Digicel. It appears that two males were involved in an altercation, one brandishing a baseball bat and the other a machete.
One of the males has been arrested and is in police custody. The other man is still outstanding. An investigation into this matter is underway. Anyone with information on this incident should call police on 295-0011.
At 10:20pm Thursday, June 30th Police responded to report of an attempted robbery that took place at Four Star Pizza on Angle Street. Upon Police arrival it was ascertained that a male entered the establishment brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and made demands of money.
The suspect left with another male suspect who was waiting outside on a motorcycle. It should be noted that nothing was taken from the store and no one was injured.
At 3:14am on Tuesday June 28th police and other first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Middle Road in Southampton near Jews Bay. It appears that the driver, a 33 year old man was travelling in an easterly direction in a car with two passengers when it appears that he lost control of his vehicle resulting in the car spinning off of the road way and ejecting the two passengers out of the vehicle.
The Bermuda Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing person 53-year-old Chelsey Hartford.

At about 8:32am on Saturday morning police and first responders received a report of a 61 year old man being found on the ground next to Bermuda Industrial Union (BIU) in a non-responsive state.
The 61 year old Pembroke man was conveyed to KEMH via ambulance where he was later pronounced dead by a doctor at 8:52am.
Foul play is not suspected and no further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.
At about 9:00am on Sunday 19th June 2016, police responded to the report of a man lying in the roadway on Middle Road at its junction with Belmont Hills Drive,
Warwick. The man was awake but unable to communicate. He was conveyed to KEMH where he was admitted. At about 12:00pm on Thursday 23rd June 2016 he passed away at KEMH. The deceased’s details are as follows:
Augusto Uberbacher, born 29th March 1940.
Police are looking to establish Mr. Uberbacher’s movements prior to his being found on Middle Road. Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the above area at the material time and may have seen Mr. Uberbacher. He is believed to have lived alone and police are also appealing to anyone who may be able to provide any personal information regarding him.
