Fri, 2007-02-16

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 29 year old David Roberts of Devonshire who died as a result of a road traffic collision at 6:20am today on Parsons Road in Pembroke, adjacent to the Pembroke Rest Home. It appears that the 29 year old man was traveling east on Parsons Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, hit the nearside curb and landed in the road. This resulted in the Devonshire man being rushed to KEMH where he was later pronounced dead by an on call physician. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen the collision to please contact PC Asaph Rawlins at the Traffic Enforcement Unit on 299-4265 or 515-9999. This is the fourth road traffic fatality of 2007 and the Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Police are also appealing for the occupants of a red car who stopped to assist the victim of this morning's fatal road traffic collision; we are interested in speaking with these individuals and encourage them to make contact with Police on 299-4239.
