Theft

At 6:10pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported theft from the St. George’s Club, on Rose Hill in St. George’s. On arrival officers spoke to the complainants who are American visitors to the island. They stated that while playing a round of golf on the St. George’s Golf Course they left a bag in their golf cart. At some point during the round two men appeared from the trees at the edge of the golf course, took the bag from the golf cart and made good their escape on foot. The suspects are described as two tall black males with low haircuts wearing long white t-shirts and long pants. They are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. The bag contained two cellular phones, approximately $175 in cash ($160 in U.S. currency) and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 297-1122.

Attempted Theft

At 4:25 this morning, Police attended a report of an attempted theft at a Summit View Drive, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that earlier in the morning they were alerted to a man inside their truck, which was parked outside. They confronted him but the suspect was able to make good his escape on foot. Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10” tall with short hair, wearing tan pants and a cream coloured tracksuit top. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
