Around 10:20pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Laffan Street, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 2:40pm and 7:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a Panasonic CD player and a cellular phone. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service Fraud Unit would like to advise the public not to respond to an e-mail circulating locally claiming to be from the Security Department of the Bank of Bermuda HSBC, regarding measures taken to increase the security level of on-line banking, as its source and intent are not genuine. The e-mail includes authentic looking Bank of Bermuda and Easylink logos which attempt to conceal the true intent of the correspondence. The local banking institutions are aware of this deceptive e-mail. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Fraud Unit on 295-0011.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Shanteerah Stovell and 15 year old Kim Dean. They were both found safe and well around 7:50pm on Wednesday in the area of York Street in St. George's.
