Breaking & Entering

Mon, 2005-11-07

Around 4:05 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at The Mid Atlantic Boat Club on North Shore Road in Devonshire. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 3:45am an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole a bottle of Scotch and gained entry into a jukebox, but was unable to access the money in the cash box. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service has noticed a recent increase in breaking and entering at licensed premises where the culprit targets the jukebox on the premises. We are advising owners/managers of all liquor licensed premises to take the proper security precautions to secure their jukeboxes, which should be emptied of cash on a regular basis. All proprietors should be vigilant for any suspicious people loitering in the area, and report any suspicious activity to the nearest Police Station.
