Injury RTC

At 7:30am on Saturday, Police attended a reported serious road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of South Road and Brighton Hill in Devonshire, involving a motorcycle and a car. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling east on South Road and the car was traveling in the opposite direction when they collided at the junction as the car attempted to turn on to Brighton Hill. As a result, the motorcycle was extensively damaged and the car received front end damage. The rider of the motorcycle, a 39 year old man, sustained injuries to his left arm, legs and face. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment and is currently in critical but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The driver of the car, a 41 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact PC Frederick Smith on 295-0011.

Witness Appeal

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the assault that occurred near the junction of Reid Street and Court Street in the City of Hamilton around 4:15am on Sunday. Any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact DC Swainson on 295-0011.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 6 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 5 incidents of breaking and entering. There were also 16 damage only road traffic collisions and 6 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
