Breaking & Entering

Police were called to a residence on Jubilee Road in Devonshire at 6 this morning after a reported breaking and entering. Upon Police arrival, officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 1am he received a call from one of his neighbours who stated that his horses were running loose. When the complainant arrived in his yard he noticed a man sitting on his wall, described only as a light skinned male, approximately 5'9" tall of slim build with a moustache. The man told the complainant that the fence was cut and his horses had escaped. The complainant then heard the horses running down the street; so he went after them and managed to corral them before going back to bed. However, when the complainant awoke a few minutes before 6am, he noticed that someone had gained entry into his home and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Police are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1-800-623-8477.
