Injury RTC

At 8am on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harrington Sound Road in Smith's parish near the junction with Lolly's Well Road. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on Harrington Sound Road when the rider, a 20 year old St. George's man, attempted to negotiate a left hand bend and reportedly struck a rock in the road. As a result the St. George's man was thrown off the motorcycle, and both he and the motorcycle collided with a wooden guard rail before ending up overboard. The 20 year old man sustained a broken right knee and was taken to KEMH for treatment. He is currently in stable condition on a general ward. Police recovered the motorcycle which was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft

At 3:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported theft from a Wilkinson Avenue, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime over the weekend an unknown culprit stole a Makita chipping hammer, a Makita saw and a Makita cordless drill from the residence, which is under renovation. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 6 incidents of breaking and entering. There were also 12 damage only road traffic collisions and 6 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.

The Police Support Unit (PSU) made 21 arrests over the weekend for various offences, with three of those individuals arrested for possession of a bladed weapon.
