Robbery

Around 10:30pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a robbery on Deepdale Road East in Pembroke. The victim, a 28 year old Paget man, stated that he was delivering pizza to a a Deepdale Road East residence when he was approached by two unknown men, one from the front and one from the rear. The man standing behind the 28 year old held him at knife point and searched the Paget man's pockets, removing a money pouch containing $100 in cash and a wallet containing $250 in cash. As a result, the victim sustained a minor abrasion to his neck. The suspects then made good their escape heading towards Curving Avenue. The first suspect (standing in front of the victim) is described as a dark brown skinned male, clean shaven, approximately 5'6" - 5'8" tall wearing a black jacket, baggy jeans, sneakers and a black baseball cap. The second suspect (standing behind the victim) could only be described as approximately 5'6" - 5'8" tall wearing a black sweat top. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Disturbance

Around 10:10pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported disturbance on Controversy Lane in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victims, a 47 year old Pembroke man and a 41 year old Pembroke man. They stated that they were sitting outside in the old stables on the property watching TV when a group of unknown men arrived in a car. Three men exited the vehicle and proceeded to attack the 41 year old man with machetes. The 47 year old man heard the commotion and went to investigate, but was also attacked by the group of men. The suspects then made good their escape in the car they arrived in. As a result, the 41 year old Pembroke man sustained a deep laceration to the head, a laceration to the ear, a broken right middle finger and a laceration to the back of his left hand. The 47 year old Pembroke man sustained a deep laceration to his left elbow and abrasions to his back. Both were taken to KEMH for treatment, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The suspects are described as a dark skinned male, 5'9" tall of thin build with a close haircut; a dark skinned male, 5'4" tall of medium build with a close haircut; and a light skinned male, 5'2" tall with curly close cut hair. All three men appeared to be in their late 20s or early 30s. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
