Injury RTC

Around 11:45pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Reid Street and Burnaby Street in the City of Hamilton, involving a taxi and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the taxi was traveling west on Reid Street and the auxiliary cycle was traveling south on Burnaby Street when they collided at the junction. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 20 year old Canadian man and his passenger, a 16 year old Canadian girl, were taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of their injuries. The 20 year old man is currently in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit (facial & internal injuries) and the 16 year old girl is recovering on a general ward (broken left leg). The driver of the taxi, a 57 year old Hamilton parish man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Breaking & Entering

Around 6:40pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Middle Road, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:30am and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole $800 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
