Robbery

At 7:40pm on Monday, Police received a report of a robbery on Slip Point Lane in St. George's. The victim, a 34 year old Pembroke man who works for The Uppercrust Restaurant, stated that around 7:20pm he was riding his motorcycle along Slip Point Lane making a delivery when he was stopped by an unknown man, who appeared to be the intended recipient of the food. However, the suspect demanded money from the delivery man, who handed over $125 in cash. The suspect then made good his escape on foot. The delivery man was not injured in the incident. The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, 5'9" tall, clean shaven, wearing a grey hooded jacket with the hood over his head and dark coloured pants. He is believed to be in his late teens or early 20s. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit on 297-1122.

Breaking & Entering

At 11:35am on Monday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Secretary Road, St. George's property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 4pm on Friday and 11am on Monday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole several tools (a Makita chop saw, a Porter Cable sander, a Porter Cable pancake compressor, a Porter Cable staple gun, two Porter Cable nail guns a DeWalt hammer drill in a case, a DeWalt sander) and a Panasonic DVD player/radio. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
