Around 7:15pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Crow Lane in Pembroke, near the East Broadway Shell Service Station. It appears that around 7pm a silver Renault was traveling east on Crow Lane when the driver, a 47 year old Southampton man, lost control and collided with a utility pole. The car was extensively damaged; however, the Southampton man was not injured. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained after failing the alco-analyser test.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 6 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 2 incidents of breaking and entering. There were also 19 damage only road traffic collisions and 6 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
