Disturbance

At 12:30 this morning, Police attended a reported disturbance at the Bermuda College in Paget. On arrival officers had cause to stop and search a car with four occupants. The search revealed a machete in the trunk of the vehicle. As a result the occupants of the car, a 22 year old Pembroke man, a 22 year old Warwick man, a 22 year old Sandy's parish man and a 14 year old Warwick boy were arrested for possession of a bladed article. In addition, the 22 year old Sandy's parish man was arrested for possession of a controlled drug. All four individuals were then taken to Hamilton Police Station. The 14 year old boy was taken into custody under the Children's Act and subsequently released into the care of his mother. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Prowling/Attempted Breaking & Entering

At 4:05am on Saturday, Police attended a reported prowling/attempted breaking and entering at a Berry Hill Road, Paget residence. On arrival the complainant, an off duty Police officer, had detained the suspect. The 37 year old Hamilton parish man was subsequently arrested, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained. The complainant stated that he arrived home and got out of his car. He then heard noises and went to investigate; the suspect attempted to hide under a parked car but was spotted by the off duty officer and apprehended. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
