Injury RTC

At 2:40 this morning, Police on mobile patrol came across a man lying in the road next to a motorcycle at the junction of South Road and College Road in Paget. It appears that the single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury occurred when the rider, a 44 year old Paget man, lost control traveling west on South Road and collided with a wall. The Paget man was taken to KEMH for treatment of a fractured left rib, hip and knee. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit in stable condition. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Burglary

Around 11:30pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Hamilton parish guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant, a 31 year old American citizen, who is a member of the U.S. Coastguard and a visitor to the island. He stated that earlier he heard a knock at the door while he was lying in bed. When he opened the door, a man asked for directions to Swizzle Inn. The American visitor became suspicious of the individual and closed the door, retiring to bed after making sure all doors were secure. However, a short time later he heard noises at a window near the bedroom before a metal chair shattered it. The suspect then entered the residence and stole the complainant's army green camouflage bag containing his Coast Guard helmet and gloves; a wallet containing $10 in cash and personal items; and a dark green & black knapsack containing a black electronic organizer in a velcro case. The suspect is described as a light brown skinned male with curly hair, approximately 5'4" tall, wearing a brown shirt and cargo type denim pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Handbag Snatch

At 11:10am on Monday, Police received a report of a handbag snatch on Gorham Road in Pembroke. The victim stated that earlier she was walking to her car when she observed a man lurking in the area. As she was on her cellular phone, the suspect approached and asked for a cigarette. The woman denied his request; however, the suspect grabbed her handbag and attempted to flee on foot. The victim gave chase, caught the suspect and after a struggle managed to get her handbag back. The suspect then made good his escape empty handed. He is described as a black male approximately 5'9" tall, weighing 190 lbs and is believed to be 35 - 40 years old. He was wearing dark coloured clothing, glasses and a hood pulled over his head. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Missing Person - Located

The Bermuda Police Service learned that 20 year old Malaysian national Kheng Goh, who was reported missing since 4:30pm on Saturday, has flown overseas. We would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.
