Disturbance

Around 10:20pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported disturbance outside Casey's Cocktail Lounge on Queen Street in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers spoke with patrons at the bar who stated that a man entered the establishment and brandished a machete. However the patrons managed to disarm the man, who then made good his escape on foot. There were no reported injuries. The machete was subsequently recovered. The suspect, a 20 year old Devonshire man, is known to the Police. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft

At 6pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a theft from a vessel moored in Jew's Bay in Southampton. The complainant stated that sometime between Monday and 2pm on Tuesday, an unknown culprit stole a 6 hp outboard engine from his dinghy. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
