Removed Vehicle

At 5:05pm on Saturday, Police received a report of a car overboard near Darrell's Wharf on Harbour Road in Warwick. Marine Police attended the area and located the vehicle (which appeared to have been underwater for some time) approximately 20 yards north of the dock. Harbour Radio was also notified. The beige Nissan Sentra license #25990 was reported stolen in July 2005. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Disturbance

At 12:10am on Saturday, Police attended a reported disturbance at the St. George's Cricket Club on Wellington Slip Road in St. George's. On arrival officers observed several auxiliary cycles leaving the area at a high rate of speed; Police pursued the cycles to Wellington Back Road where four young men were apprehended after attempting to flee on foot. The 16 year old Hamilton parish boy, 17 year old Warwick boy, 16 year old St. George's boy and 17 year old Sandy's parish boy were subsequently arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed weapon after 3 machetes and a samurai sword were recovered from nearby bushes. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Motorcycle Impounded

At 8:50pm on Friday, Police officers were on mobile patrol at the junction of Friswells Road and Roberts Avenue in Pembroke when they observed a man riding a motocross bike on the main road without a helmet. The officers signaled for the rider to pull over, but instead the 19 year old Devonshire man attempted to elude Police. He was subsequently apprehended on the grounds of Victor Scott Primary School. The motorcycle was impounded and it is anticipated that several tickets will be issued to the Devonshire man as a result of this incident. Inquiries are underway.
