At 2:35 this morning, a 56 year old Pembroke man and a 44 year old Pembroke man were arrested on Union Street in Pembroke on suspicion of theft. The arrests were made in connection with the reported theft of sneakers/shoes from Boyle's on Tuesday.

Injury RTC

Around 2:35pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harrington Sound Road in Smith's parish. It appears that a black Mack truck & trailer was traveling west on Harrington Sound Road when it collided with Manor House bridge. The driver of the truck, a 46 year old Paget man, sustained a fractured left wrist. He was taken to KEMH for treatment and is currently in stable condition on a general ward. The truck's container received minor damage and the bridge was also damaged in the collision. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft

Around 12:45pm on Tuesday, Police attended a report of a suspicious individual looking through people's belongings at Horseshoe Bay beach on South Road in Southampton. On arrival officers made an initial search of the beach, but were not successful in locating the suspect. However, after receiving further information from members of the public, the suspect, a 20 year old Pembroke man, was located at Chaplin Bay beach and arrested. He was subsequently taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained. Inquiries are underway.

Identification of Recovered Jewelry
