Vehicle Fire - Around 12:45am on Tuesday, October 30th police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel attended a reported vehicle fire on Crown Hill Lane in Devonshire where a motorcycle was ablaze outside a residence. However, the fire was extinguished by occupants of the residence prior to the arrival of the emergency services. No one was injured and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
Collision in Paget
Around 6pm on Monday, October 29th police and first responders attended a reported collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Garden Lane involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were travelling along South Road when they collided. The motorcycle rider, a 47 year old St. George’s man, sustained a leg injury and was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Both vehicles were damaged as a result of the collision, the motorcycle extensively. There were no other injuries reported. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
