Damage Only Collision in Hamilton Parish - Around 5:30pm on Thursday, October 11th police responded to a report of a single vehicle damage only collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Cottage Hill Road. It appears that a car was being driven along North Shore Road when it collided with a wall and overturned. The vehicle received damage to multiple areas as a result and the driver, a 42 year old man, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. There were no reported injuries. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
Car Collides With Pedestrian
Around 2:30pm on Thursday, October 11th police and first responders attended a reported collision at the junction of Church Street and Parliament Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that a car collided with a pedestrian at that location.
The pedestrian, a 37 year old Smith’s parish woman, apparently received no serious injuries but was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment. The car driver, a 77 year old Warwick woman, was reportedly in shock following the incident and was also taken to hospital via ambulance for medical assessment. However, it seems both women were later released from the hospital. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
