Reported Gunshots in St. Monica’s Road Area - Around 10:40pm on Wednesday, October 10th police responded to reports of gunshots in the St. Monica’s Road, Pembroke area. After an initial search of the area, no evidence was found to substantiate the reports. In addition, there were no reported injuries. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area or who may have any information is encouraged to contact the main police number on 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.

Serious Collision Victim Airlifted Overseas

The 47 year old Hamilton parish man seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car as both vehicles attempted to negotiate the round-a-bout in the North Shore Road, Barkers Hill Devonshire area around 12:45pm Tuesday, October 9th has been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment. Rental Cycle Collision Victim Airlifted Overseas

Around 4:30pm on Tuesday, October 9th police and first responders attended a reported collision on Keith Hall Road in Warwick, near the junction with Harbour Road. It appears that a rental cycle was being ridden along Keith Hall Road when it collided with a wall. The rider, a 70 year old American man, was injured and initially taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. However the victim, who was visiting the island at the time of the collision, was airlifted overseas this morning (Thursday, October 11th) for further medical treatment.
