Reported Collision in Southampton - Around 11pm on Friday, October 5th police attended a reported single vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton. It appears that a taxi was being driven along Middle Road when it collided with a wall and overturned. The taxi driver, a 52 year old Sandys parish man, reportedly sustained a minor arm injury as a result. There were no other injuries reported and apparently there were no other occupants in the vehicle at the time. The taxi received damage to multiple areas. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.

Sudden Death

Around 6pm on Friday, October 5th police and first responders attended a reported medical emergency at a Homestead Lane, Southampton residence. A 36 year old Southampton man was found in an unresponsive state at that location. CPR was performed at the scene and continued as the victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance; however he was subsequently pronounced dead. No further information regarding the deceased will be given at this time. There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances; however an autopsy is anticipated in due course.
